Fabulous Girls Foundation is an award-winning, Non-Profit Organisation that uplifts, empowers young women through personal and educational development, mentorship and also solve youth unemployment through partnerships. FabGalz® seeks to inspire young women from the age of 18-35 to pursue education, aim much higher than their current circumstances in the belief that life is indeed fabulous in spite of their personal history.

Some of FabGalz® Outreach Programme Achievements

In the years that FabGalz has been in existence, the following are some of the achievements and highlights of our Schools Outreach Programme:

  • Conducted leadership, image management, personal branding, character building and career guidance (including interview skills) to 133 matriculants in Walmer High School in Port Elizabeth in 2013
  • Conducted leadership, image management, personal branding, character building and career guidance (including interview skills) to 121 matriculants in Mizamo High School in Mdantsane (East London) in 2013
  • Delivered 2 Maths and Science workshops in 2014 to 200 matriculants in Atlehang High School in Bloemfontein (116) and Imizamo Yethu High School in George (84 learners) in partnership SA Express sponsored air tickets and made available a representative to assist FabGalz representatives.
  • Distributed Diary for Fabulous You by Pontsho Manzi to 30 Imizamo Yethu High School top performing girls to help them capture their dreams and aspirations.
  • Conducted leadership, image management, personal branding, character building, career guidance (including interview skills) and business skills to grades 11 and 12 (230 learners) of Diepsloot Combined School in 2013 and again in 2015.
  • Distributed Diary for Fabulous You by Pontsho Manzi to 60 Diepsloot Combined School top performing girls to help them capture their dreams and aspirations.
  • Hosted 30 top performing girls from Diepsloot Combined School in a workshop at City Lodge Fourways (venue sponsor) in partnership with Brand SA and Play Your Part initiative which was aired on the Play You Part TV Show hosted by Kabelo Mabalane on SABC2. 
  • Hosted 50 top performing girls from Diepsloot Combined School at the Annual Fabulous Woman Awards in 2015 .
  • Organised and hosted matric farewell for Diepsloot Combined School in 2015 with catering sponsorship from Sasria SOC Ltd, including sourcing of donated dresses for girls with the help of Fabulous Girls Foundation patrons and followers of Fabulous Woman magazine.
  • Conducted business skills and image management workshop for 50 unemployed young women of Olievenhoutbosch in 2014. From attendees of the workshop, some women successfully started their own businesses.
  • Conducted leadership, image management, character building and career guidance (including interview skills) to girl matriculants in Eastbank High School in Alexandra and hosted 50 top performers at the 4th Annual Fabulous Woman Awards in 2016. Distributed Diary for Fabulous You by Pontsho Manzi to 30 Eastbank High School top performing girls to help them capture their dreams and aspirations.
  • Conducted leadership, image management, character building and career guidance (including interview and business skills) to girl matriculants in Seshegong High School in Olievenhoutbosch and hosted 40 top performing girls at the 5th Annual Fabulous Woman Awards in 2017.
  • Conducted leadership, image management, character building and career guidance (including interview and business skills) to girl matriculants in Tembisa High School in Tembisa, Johannesburg and hosted 50 top performing girls at the 6th Annual Fabulous Woman Awards in 2018
  • Delivered leadership and entrepreneurship training to 80 Tshwane University of Technology students in 2017.
  • Delivered leadership and entrepreneurship training to 100 unemployed youth in Etwatwa Township, Ekurhuleni. Johannesburg in 2018
  • Delivered Young Women leadership and entrepreneurship 1 day programme for 80 young women at Nomzamo Settlement, Strand.Cape Town- January 2019.-Nedbank Foundation
  • Conducted Girls Leadership and Career Advise Programme at Sinenjongo High School at Joe Slovo Settlement, Century City. Cape Town for 100 girls.
  • Hosted 50 Sinenjongo High School girls at the 7th Annual Fabulous Woman Awards 2019 at Marriott Crystal Towers Hotel in Cape Town-August 2019
  • Delivered 1 day free Sisterhood and Entrepreneurship Masterclass at TUT Soshanguve for 100 young women.-September 2019
  • Through a partnership with Nedbank, Fabulous Girls Foundation delivered a 3 days Entrepreneurship and Mentorship Programme(New Venture Creation) for 50 young people in Nomzamo, Strand.Cape Town.- January 2020

Many young women and girls have already benefited from FabGalz® Foundation and more will be part of the entrepreneurship and leadership training that will be organized to build the economy of South Africa. Some of the success stories include:

  • Many entrepreneurial ventures started after our entrepreneurship and business skills training.
  • Some of the learners from our workshops have been enrolled into learnerships resulting in permanent employment.
  • Matriculants have been assisted in getting bursaries and paired with mentors in their careers of choice with one young woman on her way to qualification as an accountant.
